Dr. Yana Fandakova
Yana is a primary investigator of the Mechanisms and Sequential Progression of Plasticity at the Center for Lifespan Psychology (Director Ulman Lindenberger) at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development where she leads the Plasticity in Childhood group. Yana received her PhD in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2012. She then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley and at the University of California, Davis. Yana's research focuses on the development of learning, memory, and cognitive control across the lifespan and how motivational and environmental factors influence their developmental trajectories.
